We did a Print Gocco project in my Drawing II class. Print Gocco is this somewhat modern form of Japanese silk screening in which you take a simple line drawing (I used an apple I drew) and put it in the Print Gocco machine, along with a special Print Gocco silk screen. You put these two flash-bulbs in and when you press down on the machine, the bulbs burn through the silk screen, making tiny holes in the shape of the drawing. I'm still not sure how it does that.
Then, you can apply ink to the screen and print the image on paper, canvas, clear plastic, etc. multiple times until the ink runs out.
We did a series of 5-7 pieces. Mine turned out to be the stages of life, using an apple. My class and instructor really liked them. I chose my 4 faves to put up here. This one is "Rebirth".
all pieces were done using dry pastels, acrylic paints, watercolor, graphic pen, and some colored pencil.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
